Which cleansing solution is preferred to clean the wound before applying Cutimed Sorbact?

Cleansing solutions should not interfere with the hydrophobic effect of Sorbact. Octenisept and Prontosan contain surfactants which may interfere with the coating of Sorbact®. Therefore, thorough rinsing with a neutral solution such as Ringer’s or drying of the wound is recommended.
