One Dr. told me that your Sorbact is binding bacteria/Fungi only from wound bed, what about the microorganisms growing inside the layer of skin. Acticoat Nanocrystaline silver goes deep inside the skin and kill the microorganisms.
Acticoat is the dressing that releases a very high amount of silver into the wound. However, all dressings, including silver and Sorbact, are medical devices. Therefore, they only reduce the bacterial load in the wound. None of them manage the bacteria in the tissue. Any product that reduces the bacterial load in the tissue is a medicine. Therefore, Smith & Nephew can’t claim that Acticoat reduces the bacterial load in the tissue.
