In most cases of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), there are gram-positive bacteria, one of which is MRSA.
I am not sure whether gram-positive bacteria dominate the bacterial load in diabetic foot ulcers. The type of bacteria is not relevant to the efficacy of Sorbact. Multi-resistant strains of bacteria are a general challenge, not only in DFUs. However, MRSA is more likely to be found in DFUs because healthcare professionals tend to prescribe and use antibiotics more often, sometimes even when not indicated, for fear that diabetic foot infections progress so quickly that infections are often difficult to diagnose.
