For how long can a Cutimed Sorbact dressing be left in place?

The dressing change frequency depends on exudate levels and the overall condition of the wound and surrounding skin. If fully saturated the dressing should be changed. If the clinical conditions allow, the dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days.

When wounds are highly infected, dressing changes should occur more often. When signs of infection are declining, the wear time can be prolonged, but should be not longer when 7 days.

For treatment of fungal infections in skin folds with Cutimed® Sorbact® – ribbon gauze, daily dressing changes in conjunction with inspection and regular hygiene routines is recommended.
